PICT—Picture books

FOLK—Folk and fairy tales

COLL—Collected works, poetry, short stories

CHAP—Chapter books 

Picture books, folk and fairy tales, collected works, and chapter books are shelved by author’s last name.

 

Non-Fiction—Fact books 

Non-fiction books are shelved, by subject, according to the Library of Congress call number system.
